Rotary Shaft Transmission Seals (TC / TB / SC / SB Types)
NIYOK transmission seals (TC, TB, SC and SB rotary shaft types) seal the input and output shafts of automatic and manual transmissions, keeping transmission fluid in and dirt out. As automatic transmissions become more varied, we develop seals and piston seals by transmission model for Honda, Nissan, Volkswagen, BMW, GM and other makes, matching the material and lip design to the fluid, temperature and shaft speed.
Product Material
Transmission seals run in hot transmission fluid at high shaft speeds, so the compound must resist oil swell, heat and wear. We offer:
ACM (Acrylic Rubber): good resistance to hot engine and transmission oils; widely used in Japanese vehicle designs.
AEM (Ethylene Acrylic): good resistance to hot transmission fluid and engine oil, with better low-temperature flexibility than ACM.
FKM (Fluoroelastomer): excellent resistance to high temperature, fuels and aggressive fluids; standard range −25°C to 250°C.
NBR (Nitrile Rubber): good resistance to mineral oils and greases at a competitive cost; standard range −40°C to 100°C.
HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile): higher heat, wear and aging resistance than NBR for heavy-duty use; standard range −40°C to 150°C.
Special compounds can be developed for your operating conditions, and our engineers will recommend the most suitable material for your application.

The Function of Transmission Seal
The seal installed on the input shaft can prevent oil from leaking through the inner diameter; the seal installed on the output shaft uses a multi-lip structure to block the entry of external pollutants.
